We are reaching out to you to inform you that your merchants requiring vulnerability scanning in order to maintain their PCI Compliance Status have actions they must complete.

Here are some steps required for vulnerability scans:
  • Scan automation schedules need to be reviewed and updated in the SecureTrust portal to confirm scan execution.
  • In order to have scans run automatically, the merchant must log into the SecureTrust portal and specifically choose scans to run monthly or quarterly. The SecureTrust portal does not automatically scan quarterly if the option is not selected by the merchant.
  • If merchants do not set up scans to run automatically, they will need to log in to the SecureTrust portal to confirm new scans are initiated manually every 90 days.
  • Each time quarterly scans are completed, merchants additionally need to apply their passing scan status to their overall PCI DSS validation to remain compliant.
  • Merchants need to confirm that the email addresses of donotreply@securetrust.com  and notifications@sysnetasv.com are not blocked in their email client to ensure emails from SecureTrust are received and appropriate calls to action are followed.
A reminder to merchants regarding quarterly scans went out on the September and October Statements and an email message is being sent in November. If merchants require help with setting up quarterly scanning, they should contact SecureTrust support for assistance by calling 1-866-200-8866.
