Effective April 2022, the Card Associations will implement numerous modifications to their interchange rates that will be determined by the type of card and the method of payment acceptance.  Unless otherwise specified, all merchants boarded prior to October 2021 will be opted into these pricing modifications which will go into effect before April month end. If you have a recommendation for merchants to be excluded, please send in writing the client and the specific reason(s) they shouldn't be included in the Card Association imposed fee increases. Exemption requests should be submitted case by case to me, Mike Breier, by Wednesday, April 13th for consideration.  Please also keep in mind that merchants opted out of this increase could create a financial impact that should be considered before submitting the waiver request.
